Silverstone Paint Technology (SPT) is based in the heart of Motorsport Valley in the UK. Founded in late 2008 by Mark Turner, ex-Jordan Grand Prix F1 Vehicle Science Technician, the business has grown to become the largest paint facility within Formula One and the market leader for high-performance paint technology.
With founding F1 clients and through our relentless pursuit of speed, efficiency and aerodynamics, the SPT team proactively develop new paint technologies that provide gains in race performance. Our extensive knowledge and ability to merge both engineering and commercial design across our four divisions is what sets us apart.
The SPT Design Studio, Paint, Engineering Paint, and Composites departments provide end-to-end leading-edge paint technology solutions.
Our team has successfully worked on a wide range of projects including F1, Cervelo and British Cycling on the Team GB medal winning velodrome bikes, as well as race winning Tour de France bikes, luxury yachts, superbikes, and stately homes. In 2016, 25% of the F1 grid was painted by SPT.
We are proud to say that we have redefined paint technology as a performance gain in racing.
